French Bulldogs are big personalities in small, sturdy bodies — and they come with a few specific needs worth knowing. Many Frenchies have sensitive stomachs and food allergies, and as a flat-faced (brachycephalic) breed, they can struggle with hard or large treats.
Keep it soft and small. Skip big, dense chews that are hard for a short muzzle to manage. Soft or easily-broken, bite-size treats are safer and easier for a Frenchie to enjoy.
Simple ingredients help sensitive tummies. Fewer ingredients usually means fewer flare-ups. Single-ingredient treats — one novel protein or one veggie — make it easy to see what agrees with your dog and what doesn't.
